AINARA ARCELUS | sloan school of management

I was born in Boston and am a first generation American; my parents are from Mexico City. I studied math at Harvard College and have sought to apply it in useful industries, such as healthcare, public transportation, and supply chain analytics.

I am attending business school at MIT Sloan to transition into management and a career supporting climate justice. I am excited to be part of the LunaCap community and encourage other Mexican Americans to apply for an MBA. Giving back as a LunaCap scholar also means being an active citizen in my community, e.g., calling my state senator to support bills, attending nonviolent protests, and learning from people with different points of view.

As Senator Kamala Harris would say, these are some of the truths I hold,

  1. "Life is not a grab-bag candy game" Toni Morrison

  2. “Walk the street with us into history. Get off the sidewalk. Stop being vegetables” Dolores Huerta

  3. "Real climate solutions are ones that […] systematically disperse and devolve power and control to the community level” Naomi Klein
